Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak Sunday said that Eid al-Fitr is an important religious ritual celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan. The provincial government had nothing to do with moon sighting or otherwise as it is the sole to main of the federal government. “We have no role whatsoever in the moon sighting or otherwise” , the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak told media men soon after exchanging Eid greetings with people from different walk of life who called on him at his residence at Manki Sharif, District Nowshera. He categorically stated that his government never influenced the process of moon sighting and the Ulema who announced the decision of Shawal moon sightings on the ground of collecting evidences from several district of the province. He said it would have been better, had the central Ruhit-e-Hilal Committee come to Peshawar a day earlier and witnessed the whole process by itself. He said that writ of the government is visible there, law and order situation has improved considerably and we are going towards a complete normalcy, which is certainly the set target of the government to restore complete peace in the province. He said that writ of the government led to achieve the set targets. Flanked by the KP Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhail, MNA Dr, Imran Khattak, Tehsil Nazim Ashfaq, the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that they have setup targets in all public institutions and departments, his government brought the much needed reforms in all sector for the welfare of people and we the grace of Almighty Allah we are heading toward achieving all that targets one-by-one. He said our mission is to give relief to the people through reforms in every sector and every govt department so that they could serve the people. He said supremacy of law, providing justice to the people through our slogan of “Change” is actually our manifesto. He said for following the policy of change we have made several reforms in all those sectors and departments where public are directly involved. “Out prime target is to provide relief to the people by bringing solution to their long lasting problems which were ignored by different governments in the past. The Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that they have focused on education and healthcare which was necessary for nation building. “We have got rid of corruption in different public sector departments and the money earlier gone to individual pockets through corruption was now diverted to public welfare,” the Chief Minister added. He said reform in police has been made and now they are working for the welfare of the people in order to ensure safeguarding the rights of the people. He said the public representatives should serve the public and give relief to the people by utilizing their energies. He said as compared to the governments in the past, the present government has setup a precedent of serving the people. The public institutions will give autonomy under the definite aim to put the working of these institutions on professional lines and these institutions could not be influenced from the outside, the Chief Minister added. He said the present govt has made all public dealing transparent and there was no room for wrongs. The Chief Minister said that none in the history of Pakistan ever transferred power and authority to public sector institutions but PTI did it. He was optimistic that on the basis on his government performance, PTI would stage a comeback with popular support of people. . <><><><><><><>
